The first brief came back from the client with one note. Make it crazier. The redesign became the truss monoliths, an automated structure of moving trusses and lighting pods flown above the audience on Kinesys, with kilometres of cable routed so it could travel without tangling in itself. Momentum Engineering ran load tests and simulations to sign off flying it over a crowd and to establish how fast it could safely move.
Signal distribution ran through node clusters and fibre at each cable bridge, the full pixel map squeezed into two 4K processors, planned in advance in Resolume, Chaser and Stageflow. Visual content came from the Teletech packs alongside custom work for the structure, with the full composition routed into TouchDesigner over NDI and blob-tracked back into Resolume. The show built in a day and a half.
